Fine motor skills are refined as little hands manoeuvre the oven’s dial by setting the timer and serving up their cookie creations. Put your cookies into the oven and close the door to see the light turn on. Set the timer, then wait for the “ding!” Open the door and you will find your cookies have actually browned!

The light inside the oven makes the cookies turn darker. The color will return to normal after a short time. Place the cookies on the light and close the door.
Light turns off automatically when timer “dings” and resumes when door is opened and closed again for next batch of cookies
